Jermaine 'Bigman' Garrett was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in South Carolina in a rural town named Whitehall. A close net community where everyone is family even if we not blood related. I was introduced to rap music through my older brothers. Since i can remember they always had it playing loud in the house. Growing up my dad which his nickname is(Man)owned 2 night clubs. My job was to clean the clubs after big parties. Most of the times our local neighborhood DJ Melly Mell use to leave his equipment overnight. Which I just recently told him that I use to play on his turntables and scratch his records trying to mimic being a DJ. Once my brothers left for college that is when I started my music collection. I remember I was too young to buy music with parental advisory stickers on them so I use to get my mom to buy them for me. High school is when I started writing rhymes. Being a big fan of Eminem at the time. Everyone called me Big Shady cause I stay rapping funny shit. I just like to make people laugh never thought it was a real talent I just love having fun. Once I got to college my friend Dayday (Big BuckJones / Nov) had friends with an actual studio he was the first guy I met to really be pursing a rap career. Him and his boy DB invited me in to there group Crazy House and this where it all began. DB gave me a copy of Fruity Loop software to make beats. I use to practice day and night just to try to impress them guys. DB was good. Once I got pretty good at it. That’s when I open a studio back home and started my own group with the guys in the neighborhood called Hall Of Fame. Through that my name started buzzing and I met Taurus Johnson CEO of Romilia Records which I ended up producing his main artist Infamous Dru. Dru became close friends with Craig Mack after he move to St George SC . Craig Mack heard some of my production and invited me to his house. Craig Mack introduced me to sampling I never sampled until he showed me how and why producers sample. Those lessons added to my bag and put me on another level at that time producers around the way wasn’t doing that. The music didn’t take off for me like expected so I put it in the back burner and started pursing in a career to be a drafter. As the years pass I kept making songs and beats just as a hobby. Around 2017 one of my friends Timmy Technicolor called me and told me his friend Dre trying to do music and wanted me to be apart of the movement. After while I gave in and said to myself I’m going to give it one last try. DreamRich Ent the name of the crew Tim Dre and Me. One of the best decisions I made. They talk me into working on my solo project which was originally called Dreams Come True. I finished it but never released it. T he sound quality wasn’t where I wanted it to be. So I held on to them songs until I can get them recorded like I wanted to. 2020 during the pandemic by not being able to go anywhere my money started to grow and I was able to afford the equipment I needed to get my music to the standard I was looking for. By that time I wasn’t interested in being a rapper I just wanted to produce and manage artist. Late 2020 I was invited to an app called Clubhouse which I started playing some of my old songs for people and the feedback I got gave me the confidence to really take this serious. I decided to refresh the “Dreams Come True” album. I renamed it “Ambition” because that’s the perfect word for this journey. April 16th 2021 I released my first single Ambition feat Jimmy Age and Mist’Eerie which i met Jimmy from Clubhouse we really became close amazing how we bonded over an app lol. August 6th 2021 I released Ambition EP which consist of 2 old songs and 2 new songs. The feedback from that EP put me in a new mindset that Dreams Come True if you stop dreaming and put in the work and become the dream.
